The department of civil engineering has produced several eminent engineers who have made significant contributions in the planning and execution of Civil Engineering projects in India as well as abroad. the department has carved its niche in the areas of academics, research, consultancy, collaborative projects, and publications. The department has been actively involved in conducting conferences, workshops, FDP’s, site Visits, project tours and several students related programs to provide a platform for sharing and spreading the latest developments in the field of Civil Engineering.

Students are provided ample opportunities to gain hands-on experience in state of the art laboratories equipped with the most modern equipment’s. our core facilities include :

The department of civil engineering at the Travancore Engineering College offers an eight semester course leading to B.Tech degree of the APJAK Technological University. The department is also offering professional consultancy in civil engineering to the needy clients in the field. It has a well-qualified, dedicated, sincere and dynamic faculty as well as technical staff in different areas of specialization. Department takes the moral and social responsibility to imbibe the state of the art technological information to the students, the harbingers for tomorrow’s nation building.
